VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR 2016

Lori Dunn “lots of fun” (Volunteer of the Year 2016) is a Cali native, Peace Corps recruiter, consultant for Boston non-profits, and former Disneyland employee. Mary Sabelli is a High School biology teacher at Sharon High School and facilitated high & low ropes initiatives at Thompson Island Outward Bound prior to getting into teaching. JIM

After renting vans from Peter Fuller Rentals and forming a friendship through pick-up and drop-off, manager in Watertown, Jim caught the bug and started volunteering. Since the beginning, he’s been a part of hiking and backpacking adventures.

MARY

Mary is a yoga instructor, mother of two, former teacher, educational researcher, and rock climbing enthusiast. She has a love of children, nature, exploring life’s potential and has always been a crucial member of this team.

SHELDON

Sheldon is an author and Professor of Mathematics at Suffolk University. He was born and raised in Ireland and has been bringing his thick accent, five-fingered shoes, and love of adventure on programs for years.

BONNIE

Bonnie is our 2015 Volunteer of the Year and although she volunteers on a lot of adventures, you’ll most likely find her on a climbing program. She’s an avid climber and competitor (placing Silver in the 2014 National Paraclimbing Championship and traveling to Spain and France for World Championships). She brings a calm and direct presence to every program and she’s exactly who you want belaying you through a climb. We love having Bonnie as a part of the team!
