Definitive Cares make a huge impact

After renting vans from Peter Fuller Rentals and forming a friendship through pick-up and drop-off, manager in Watertown, Jim caught the bug and started volunteering. Since the beginning, he's been a part of hiking and backpacking adventures.

Students from Gordon College

Under-grad students enrolled in the W.I.L.D. program at Gordon College (Wilderness Immersion & Leadership Development) practice adventure education and leadership on Waypoint's partnership with the Umana Academy in East Boston.

Mary is a yoga instructor, mother of two, former teacher, educational researcher, and rock climbing enthusiast. She has a love of children, nature, exploring life's potential and has always been a crucial member of this team.

Students from Boston University

BU Medical Students have made a push over the last year to have more contact with patients in the community. We've been thankful to have their volunteer support on several winter hiking adventures! Thanks BU!

Sheldon is an author and Professor of Mathematics at Suffolk University. He was born and raised in Ireland and has been bringing his thick accent, five-fingered shoes, and love of adventure on programs for years.

Bonnie is our 2015 Volunteer of the Year and although she volunteers on a lot of adventures, you'll most likely find her on a climbing program. She's an avid climber and competitor (placing Silver in the 2014 National Paraclimbing Championship and traveling to Spain and France for World Championships). She brings a calm and direct presence to every program and she's exactly who you want belaying you through a climb. We love having Bonnie as a part of the team!
