Last Friday’s kayaking adventure marked a bittersweet milestone at Waypoint. It was our final adventure for a class of students from the Umana Academy in Boston that is dear to Waypoint’s heart. This group was the youngest to start Waypoint’s Experiential Education program series in 2011 and it has been a joy and a privilege to see these kids turn into young adults – equipped for high school with lessons on perseverance, working together, taking risks, and communicating. It’s reflections on these personal stories that remind us of the power of adventure. See their transformation below!
