Full-Time Program Coordinator

The job of the Program Coordinator is multifaceted. The PC is responsible for developing, coordinating, and running all aspects of Waypoint Adventure’s programming. Some programs take place on weekends and/or evenings. From the day-to-day work and throughout the year, the PC wears many different hats. It is integral to the job to be well organized, flexible, and creative. The PC is a trip leader/facilitator, event planner, educator, curriculum writer, trainer, and coach. This makes the job ever-changing and never boring. No matter which hat the PC is wearing, their job is to look out for the best interest of participants and to stay true to the mission of Waypoint Adventure. Along with the entire staff, the PC is continually working to move Waypoint toward a sustainable future as a leader in accessible, transformational, and experiential adventure education.

Part-Time Grant Writer / Development Coordinator

This position plays a major role in keeping the Development Team organized, aligned, and on track to achieve our fundraising goals. This role is a great opportunity for someone with previous grant writing and development experience who is extremely detail oriented and organized. Reporting to the Development Manager, the Grant Writer is responsible for the research, preparation, submission and tracking of grant proposals and reports and managing an annual grants calendar. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask, a high level of organization, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Communications Intern

Waypoint Adventure is looking for a Communications Intern with a focus on producing Social Media Content and Website Blogging. This person will be a succinct, clear, fun, and authentic writer. They will be creative, organized, and up to speed on the latest social media features of channels: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Internship Program

Waypoint’s vision is to be an industry leader in the field of Adventure Education for people with disabilities. We’ve been facilitating programs since 2010 and since that time, we’ve been able to collaborate with fantastic organizations, researchers, outdoor professionals, schools, and students. We’re learning so much! Thank you to our Boston community partners, friends, and volunteers for growing and seasoning our beloved organization! The Waypoint Adventure Internship Program is one way we’re passing this knowledge along. Since we’ve opened our doors, we’ve had several talented individuals join us for a semester or season to take on roles in the fields of Adventure Education, Outdoor Facilitation, Special Education, Non-profit Management, Marketing, and Event Planning. We’re confident that each intern is walking away with a deeper, more dynamic grasp of the work-force and our related fields.
