Eileen received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Human Development and her Master’s degree in Severe Special Needs from Boston College. While working on her master’s, she worked at Perkins School for the Blind in the Deafblind program as a teaching assistant. Since graduating with her master’s, Eileen worked for five years in Milford as a special education teacher in inclusive settings and in the Arlington Public Schools with students with emotional/behavior disabilities in third, fourth, and fifth grade. In between working in Milford and Arlington, Eileen took half a year off from work to traveling the United States, visiting close to thirty major cities and seventeen national parks. Before taking on the role of Head of Curriculum Design, Eileen worked as a summer trip leader at Waypoint for two summers. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and watching her favorite Boston teams play.
