The mission of Waypoint Adventure is to challenge youth and adults with disabilities to discover their purpose, talents and strengths through the transforming power of adventure.
The Waypoint Hiking program takes place in some of New England’s most beautiful woodlands. You and your group will be encouraged to reach goals and learn lessons about wilderness travel while hiking in a fun and supportive community. Some lessons may include low impact travel, packing the 10 essentials, map and compass navigation, teamwork, communication, and perseverance. Experience the trails, streams, mountains, and wildlife of New England in a fully accessible adventure.
“We had an awesome time. Thanks for including us and introducing us to this great resource. We’ll definitely be going back to the [Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge] soon.”
