Dear Friends,
It is with many emotions that I write to inform you that I’ve decided to step down from my position of Co-Executive Director at Waypoint Adventure and move on to new adventures. I am excited and full of hope for the next chapter of Waypoint with my best friend and colleague Dan Minnich at the helm as Executive Director.
It has been an honor to be a part of the founding and development of this incredible organization over the past 10 years. Wow. It’s crazy to think it’s been 10 years! I honestly don’t know where to begin. My mind is flooded with so many stories; funny stories, happy stories, stories of challenge, support, and celebration. One thing is true about all of these stories – they are full of real transformation and impact.
Along with these stories are faces. These faces flood my mind. There have been so many special people who have guided and supported me and our vision during my tenure. I hope you will all continue to stay engaged with this incredible mission.
To our staff – It has been humbling to learn from so many passionate, sacrificial, knowledgeable, and hard-working individuals. I’m forever indebted to you for all you do.
To our participants – I’m constantly in awe of the things you’ve taught me. Your excitement for life and for adventure continue to point me toward the importance of embracing challenge and seeing life as an adventure to grab hold of. Your love for friendship and community drives me to deepen relationships with the people around me. Thank you for being a part of these wonderful adventures with me. I consider you all friends, forever.
To our volunteers – there are so many of you – Board of Directors, program volunteers, advisors, donors, supporters, and friends. I consider all of you to be crucial drivers in the success of the past 10 years, and I look forward to hearing of your support for this organization long into the future. Without you, these incredibly transformational programs don’t happen. Please keep giving of your time, talent and treasure.
I have been honored to work with and learn from all of you. I am excited to continue to be a supporter of Waypoint Adventure and its efforts to challenge people with disabilities, and our communities, to discover their purpose, talents, and strengths through the transforming power of adventure. Onward!
With deep appreciation and love for all of you,
~ Adam
