2017 Volunteer of the Year

Introducing Mary Sabelli! Mary is a High School Biology teacher at Sharon High School and facilitated high & low ropes initiatives at Thompson Island Outward Bound prior to getting into teaching. We got SO lucky when Mary started volunteering. At the gym she climbs at, she kept seeing Waypoint programs from a distance and saw our posts on social media. When she reached out and signed up, we had NO idea the huge impact she would have on our programs. She came on over 15 programs this summer! And on top of that, even though she’s back in the midst of teaching this fall, she’s signed up for more programs! She’s dedicated to the mission, passionate about seeing people learn, and loves adventure. She’s a thrill seeker, life-lover, and is an awesome person.

Thank you Mary for all you’ve done for Waypoint! You’ve become a close friend! Congrats on being the Volunteer of the Year!

If you want to be as awesome as Mary… or at least try… start volunteering today! Click over to our Volunteer Tab. The Waypoint Volunteer community is fun, diverse, and always up for an adventure. Check out the Snapchat story from our latest End of Summer Cookout.
